Dennis T. Song

Managing Director and Portfolio Manager

Dennis was most recently a Lead Advisor with Heritage Wealth Advisors in Richmond, VA., where he was responsible for the coordination of investment management, financial planning and tax services for clients.  He also served on Heritage’s Investment Policy Committee and worked with the investment team on managing client portfolios and research.

Dennis worked in New York City for over 15 years and his Wall Street experience spans across corporate finance, including investment banking advisory, private and public equity investing, corporate restructuring, investor relations and strategy.  He is skilled at analyzing businesses and strategy, evaluating operating and return metrics and making sound investments.

Dennis started his career as an investment banking analyst at Bear Stearns, then as a private equity associate with JP Morgan Partners.  Dennis spent over nine years as an equity analyst in the fund industry analyzing and selecting equity securities across a variety of industries.  He joined BlackRock in New York City as a Director of Investor Relations and Strategy, where he worked with the senior management team on external investor messaging.    In 2015, Dennis moved his young family to Richmond, VA and joined Altria as a Director of Investor Relations.  

Dennis earned his BBA in Accounting and Finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and his MBA in Finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, Illinois.

Dennis enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, Cayden (8) and Iyla (6). He loves traveling, fishing and is an avid golfer and sports fan.
